We are pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Ardell as our new Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Bob Graydon, our CEO since 2017, who is transitioning to the role of Executive Chairman.
Mr. Graydon, who joined Multiquip in 1998, was instrumental in driving our record sales growth and operational streamlining. Multiquip’s performance earned him recognition from our parent, Itochu International Inc., as a three-time recipient of their Excellent CEO award. Reflecting on his tenure, Mr. Graydon expressed pride in Multiquip's achievements and confidence in its future, stating, "It has been an incredible journey for me, leading this remarkable organization. Together, we have achieved significant milestones and enjoyed tremendous success. I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished as a team. As Executive Chairman, I remain committed to supporting the entire leadership team through this transition. I am very excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for Multiquip, and I am confident that under Tim's leadership, we will reach new heights of success."
Mr. Ardell is no stranger to successful leadership at MQ, having steadily progressed through the organization and executive management team since joining the company in 2004. His deep understanding of the company's operations, coupled with his strategic vision and commitment to excellence, positions him as the ideal candidate to lead Multiquip into its next phase of growth and innovation.

The Vibes are... Shrimpy
In a story you have to read to believe, Marine Biologists in Willapa Bay, Washington have been using Multiquip FXA60A4 concrete vibrators and GDP5H generators to eliminate burrowing ghost shrimp in certain tidelands.
Ghost Shrimp in Willapa Bay often inhabit the same tide flats where Pacific oysters are farmed and are considered pests by local shellfish farmers. The ghost shrimp burrow deep into the substrate of tide flats, softening layers of sand and mud which cause oysters, eel grass and other organisms to die.
When asked about the project, University of Washington Marine Ecology professor Alan Trimble said, “Immediately after we finished our first field test, it didn’t look like anything had changed. The tide flats looked pretty similar to how they looked prior to vibrator use. Follow-up studies of the test sites revealed that nearly 100% of ghost shrimp had been eliminated by the shrimp vibrator."
