We imagine "How is it already October?!" has been a pretty common thought this morning, especially after a busy Summer construction season flew by. It was a good Summer for our industry - we witnessed continued growth in construction projects with the manufacturing, healthcare, and education sectors leading the way.

πŸ‚ Fall 2024 is full steam ahead and will lay the foundation for a robust 2025. ConstructConnect forecasts growth of 7.7% for total US construction next year, with the sectors mentioned above continuing to drive the bulk of new projects. Supply chain issues and labor shortages will persist through the Fall (primarily electrical components coming from overseas) but we're used to that by now, right?

As always, thank you for being a reader of The Mix, we hope you enjoy this edition as much as we enjoyed this.

The Hidden Cost of Spare Parts

When your service center is packed to the brim with spare parts, it’s easy to think you’re covered. But how much time are your techs spending on finding the correct parts for each job that comes in?

Some quick, back-of-napkin math provides a ballpark look at what you could be saving per year by consolidating your parts inventory with MQ Genuine Parts Maintenance Kits. Everything you need for routine maintenance, bundled into one simple SKU - no more scavenger hunts on the clock.

Of course, numbers vary from shop to shop, but the point remains the same: tracking down individual parts eats up billable service hours that could be contributing to your bottom line instead. Why throw money out the window? πŸ’Έ

Staying Prepared This Wildfire Season

Just as the Eastern U.S. faces hurricane season each year, the Western states endure wildfire season. The lush growth of spring can quickly dry out, turning into fuel for fast-moving and destructive wildfires. This year, two states that Multiquip calls home - California and Idaho - have been hit especially hard.

As communities across the West work to recover, we are committed to supporting the effort with equipment that can help tackle cleanup or preparation. Whether it's portable lighting for night operations, high-pressure pumps for fire suppression and cleanup, or generators for restoring power, our products are here to assist. If you need equipment to aid in recovery, we’re here to help - reach out and let us know how we can support your efforts.
